I finally finished my screenplay. It took me more than a month to finish it and a lot of criticisms from friendly friends. I've been forcing my friends to read my work and comment on it so I would know if i can make it as a writer. Bev would just comment on the story and I appreciate all her good comments, including Lui's. Then here comes cabingabang and bordador. I actually like that cabingabang really took her time to read my works and comment on it bit by bit, it makes me dense to the comments of other people. But through her opinions I revised my story to make it more acceptable and beliavable. Then bordador made fun of my dialogues, i was irritated of course because she laughed when she didnt even read it yet. She told me i was better writing essays and blogs because it's real and it's not OA, unlike my "fictional" stories. That I should not write profane words because it's bad lit... hmmm.

Where is he?”
“Who is he?”
“He lives right here in the temple with us. He is Tutankhamun.”
“Tutankhamun? But isn’t he your nephew?”
“You said that yourself, Tutankhamun is your nephew… how did he became the King’s son?”

“Tutankhamun’s mother is my sister; she was the Pharaoh’s second wife. Princess Kia died of childbirth, and only I, knew of Tutankhamun’s existence.”
A great secret was revealed along the walls of the Temple, that the young Tutankhamun is the Pharaoh’s only son, an only heir to the throne. The Vizier Ayê evolved a plan of arranging Tutankhamun’s accession to the throne.
“What in Amun’s name are you talking about Uncle? Just yesterday, you told me my father was a simple merchant who only happens to impregnate my mother and then killed by the Hittites!”
“I was wrong. I shouldn’t have said that. This is the truth. You are the King’s only son.”
“How do I know you’re not lying again this time? Huh? I myself can’t believe you, how much more the people of Egypt, who loved the King and his family? This is absurd!”
“ Don’t be such a nuisance boy! I have already planned that. You will come with me to the palace today.”
“I can’t. I have work to do.”
“Leave it. You will not be doing work like that again. Go change and come with me.”
“But, Uncle… I really have something else to do. It is very important…”
“More important than being the King of Egypt? Go now at once!”
Poor young Tutankhamun’s heart was broken. How could he meet with Ankhsenamun at the lagoon today if he would go to the palace? Certainly, Ankhsenamun lives at the palace… but she will be waiting at the lagoon…for him.
At the palace, Ankhsenamun was restless for she was not permitted to go out today. They were instructed to stay at the palace for the arrival of the Vizier with an important announcement. The truth is she doesn’t care about the announcement… she doesn’t care about Egypt at all. She just wants to go out in the lagoon and meet her love, Tutankhamun. She’s planning to escape but the palace was heavily surrounded with soldiers. Protecting them from danger, keeping her away… from the loving arms of the waiting Tutankhamun. Tears welled down from her eyes… she felt weak in the knees. She felt nauseated. She felt the world spinning so fast, and then it became dark.
“Welcome Great Vizier! What do we have here? Glad of you to come boy!”
“Where is the Queen? and the princesses? I request them to be at the court today…””The Queen is indisposed. She is not feeling well. She has been in her bed since last night and has not risen. She instructed me to tell you to go on with your announcement with her permission.”
“And the princesses?”
“They will be coming to see you, great Vizier… except for Princess Ankhsenamun.”
Sorrow swept over the gentle face of Tutankhamun. Surely, it was her excuse not to attend court today, to say that she was sick, and then secretly escape and meet him at the lagoon. Certainly, she is already there… alone and lonely from the death of her father, and in need of support, in need of his love.
“We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of a great King. He had ruled Egypt with great joy and Egypt loved him for it. However, the King was also a man, and as a man committed mistakes. Now that he is dead, we are left with no successor… but the King has entrusted to me the care of his then infant son, whom I reared and taught to be a young educated man. The King feared for his son’s life in making this decision. Who am I to disobey the orders of a great King? So I kept his son hidden in the temple, telling every curious eye that he is my nephew. Today, now that I am left with no other choice, I give to you the next king of Egypt…the young Tutankhamun!!! Now to strengthen the ties of the family of King Amenhotep, I propose that Tutankhamun choose one among his half-sisters to be his bride.”
Tutankhamun stood there in the center of the elevated platform. Looking over everybody’s shoulders, expecting to see his ladylove Ankhsenamun, but she is waiting at the lagoon for him? So how could she be here? Looking directly at the five princesses before him, he could not help but close his eyes and refuse to let the tear drop. He looked over to the Vizier Ayê for help. Must he choose a bride now? Now that the woman he loves is not here?
“Tutankhamun…we are waiting… choose now a bride for the wedding will be tonight…”
Flashed with frustration and desperation, he tried looking more closely at the eldest; he went nearer to her inches away and in a whisper:
“I was told you still have a younger sister, the sixth…where is she?”
“She is in her room… Sire?”
“Why is she not here?
“She suffered pain in the head, Sire?…shall I go and fetch her?”
“You could do that?”
“Yes… sire?, for a moment please?”
“Certainly…”
Now, as the eldest princess arose from her seat to fetch Ankhsenamun, Tutankhamun felt a flash of hope and happiness overcome him. He can choose Ankhsenamun, and she will be his wife…for all eternity. He prepared himself for the surprise, surely Ankhsenamun hates surprises, but this will be the surprise she’ll never forget.

Meritaten arose from her seat with haste. She can not afford to make the future king’s mind change for beckoning their youngest sister. Ankhsenamun, without knowing had save her life – her love. Standing at the court today, being told to marry a stranger so that Egypt will have a King- the face of her beloved flashed across her eyes. She can not marry anyone but her beloved. Now that the king is looking for Ankhsenamun, she and her beloved will live undisturbed, away from this ruckuss, away from them all, away from Egypt. She will just have to say her gratitude to Ankhsenamun later, now she has to go and wake her up.

“Sister, get up! The future king is looking for you. Besides, the Vizier thinks one of us must marry him tonight so as not to lose our hold of the crown. I think that is a great idea because, he is already our half-brother, and the kingdom will still be ruled by our family.”
“If that’s such a great idea then marry him! Why the need to make me go there?”
“You are still one of the Princesses, Ankhsenamun! And besides… I think he knows you…he purposely leaned over to me and asked for my younger sister… meaning you! Isn’t that amazing? You will be the future queen of Egypt!”
“I don’t care! I don’t want to be the Queen of anything! I just want to go out to the lagoon…please? Can you tell the guards to let me go? Please?”
“You’ve been such a stubborn young lady! Stop that nonsense and come with me at once! I am so sorry dear sister… tell you what, you can go out when we are finished in the court… but that won’t happen if you are not going… so come, take my hand… I shall take care of you…don’t worry.”
With heavy feet Ankhsenamun tread the hallway towards the court. Hoping secretly that everything will be over before the sun goes down…before Tutankhamun leaves the lagoon.
“Aha!!! Princess Ankhsenamun! Good of you to come and join us finally!!!”
The words seem like a thunder in Ankhsenamun’s ears. The whole courtroom is filled with people she doesn’t even know. Her sisters are sitting properly in their places, very timid and very behave, which is not extraordinary, after all she’s the only one who has enough spirit and joy in herself to even care to hum a simple song. She sat herself uncomfortably in one of those high back chairs with feathers of different birds stuffed inside it to make it soft. Her head seems to be very heavy to lift; her eyelids are closing on their own, when the Vizier again presented the future King. The man standing in the middle of the platform slowly turned around, in his face a very familiar and gentle smile is formed. He is looking directly straight at her, as if his eyes are saying that everything is fine…without much hesitation, Tutankhamun with a big grin in his face proceeded to take Ankhsenamun in his arms, to which the princess responded with so much love. The longing they had for each other earlier seems to be healed immediately as they stood there, in the center of the courtroom, in the middle of the faceless crowd; arms around each other, for they are now the core of the kingdom; the King and Queen of Egypt….
“Hail King Tutankhamun! Hail Queen Ankhsenamun! Hail the holy couple!! May the goddess Isis give them beautiful creatures and bountiful blessings!”
So the couple wed the evening after. Such grandeur and vast festivities took place. The court dancers and the court jesters never stopped in entertaining the people; everybody laughed, everybody giggled; everybody shared the happiness of the newlyweds. The Vizier, though not expecting something like this to happen, joined in the celebration and promulgated a toast for the endless bliss of the King and Queen of Egypt.
The celebration lasted for three nights and four days. In which on the fourth day, the couple are left alone to discover happiness by themselves. In their chamber, Tutankhamun seriously gazed into Ankhsenamun’s eyes, which moved the latter into a halting pause, and a questioning look of embarrassment.
“Why so profound my love? Do I not look the way you expected me to?”
“Until now, sitting here in this bed, I can not believe, you will share it with me…”
“I could just sleep in my own room tonight if that’s what His Majesty wants.”
“Why would I want such a dreadful thing?
“How will I know? I may own your heart, but not your mind! You see…”
“You never cease to amaze me… the beautiful stranger in the lagoon, the girl who almost broke my heart, is the woman who is now my wife…”
“And the stubborn mysterious stranger who doesn’t want to get off my land, the boy who made me cry, is now the man who I call my husband…”
“Believe it or not, we are now the young parents of Egypt. Egypt’s entire problem is now on our shoulders, all of Egypt’s matters are now on our lap…just thinking about it… I don’t know why I’m in this situation anyway…”
“Fear not my love, the Vizier will be the one to take care of that. He is your attendant after all. On the other hand, I suggest that we do something else tonight, instead of thinking about Egypt, how about that, huh?”
“I am now the son of the morning and the evening sun, and I offer upon your feet the stars of the heavens, you mean more than life to me, you are life’s greatest gift, and you are my beloved.”
“You may only see this simple smile in my face, but deep within me, my heart is rejoicing for I have found my true love, my purpose in living, and my beloved…”
Thus, the young rulers of the vast kingdom of Egypt spent the night in ecstatic disposition.

The Untold Story of Love, Betrayal, and Justice

This is an unconventional love story of the boy - king Tutankhamun and his young wife, Ankhsenamun. Set in 18th century Egypt, during the reign of the heretic pharaoh Amenhotep IV.
King Amenhotep was more of a religious poet sincerely devoted to his newfound religion of worshipping the noon-god Aton, than a wise and strong ruler Egypt needs at the time of distress and turmoil. King Amenhotep IV later changed his name into Akhenaton in order to please the god Aton, and completely abandons the traditional worship of the god Amun. King Akhenaton had many wives but he favored the most his first bride, the beautiful Queen Nefertiti, with whom he had six lovely daughters, one of them, was princess Ankhsenamun. His second bride, who goes only by the name of Kia, died in giving birth to King Akhenaton’s only son, Tutankhamun.

Now, it was said that Egypt became a land of confusion and chaos; famine would strike the lands; the water of the Nile would refuse to come; and people were dying in the streets. Thus, King Akhenaton was regarded weak and unfit to rule Egypt anymore, that a plan to overthrow him and his fake-god Aton had taken shape. King Akhenaton was then murdered inside the temple he had erected for his god Aton, while saying his prayers. Hearing of her husband’s death, Queen Nefertiti fell in great despair that no one, not even her daughters could comfort her broken heart. The Queen hid her grief in seclusion and eventually contracted an ailment, which led to her early demise, or so they say.
Egypt was now without a King that the council of elders headed by the Vizier named Ayê proclaimed Smhenkhara, Akhenaton’s brother, as the Pharaoh. However, after only a year of being the Pharaoh of Egypt, King Smhenkhara was found dead in his chambers with no known reasons.
The elders now left with no other choices, arranged an early marriage between Princess Ankhsenamun, and her half-brother Tutankhamun, in the young age of 14 and 12, respectively. Thereafter, young Tutankhamun was proclaimed Pharaoh, the King of Egypt. The young couple, bearing the fact that they were now both orphans, clings to each other for love and support. Their affection for each other was clearly manifested by how much time they spend with each other; Tutankhamun would go about in his routines as pharaoh, and Ankhsenamun would always be by his side. Although, Tutankhamun governed Egypt literally, all of his decisions were influenced and suggested by the Vizier Ayê. The Vizier is the second in rank next to the King, and therefore has access to any place inside the palace and the domain without questions.
Tutankhamun would often go hunting for wild ducks with his trusted general Hamenhareb, in the vast lands of Egypt. However, even though only the male royalty enjoyed this sport, Ankhsenamun would refuse to be left behind and insist on going with her husband hunting. How could King Tutankhamun decline his bride’s offer to hold his arrows while he busily aims at a flying duck? Their relationship was filled with so much passion that even in public gatherings, King Tutankhamun would be seen pouring oil in his bride’s hands to serve as perfume; Queen Ankhsenamun would be seen wrapping her arms around her husband’s shoulders; and both would be seen drinking in the same cup. Yet, the King and Queen, although happy as they may seem to be, were always visited by the ghosts of terror. Twice did Queen Ankhsenamun suffer miscarriage…and they never had a child born to them alive.
Also, the Vizier Ayê seems to be having a plan of his own, for he longs to dictate everything that the King must do. Tutankhamun now able to think for himself and his kingdom, made decisions totally contradicting all of Aye’s suggestions, that made the Vizier very angry.
One fateful night, while in deep slumber, a strong blow at the base of the head …of King Tutankhamun made him never to awake from his sleep again. He was brutally murdered by the unknown assailant that killed his father King Akhenaton, Queen Nefertiti, and his uncle King Smhenkhara…no one dared to accuse the Vizier for it was written in the law that no one shall judge a vizier, for the vizier is the judge, the giver of punishment, the ultimate truth. Now to be able to accomplish his plans, he must force the frightened young widowed queen Ankhsenamun to marry him in order to become the Pharaoh. In desperate measures, Queen Ankhsenamun sent General Hamenhareb to the King of the Hittites, who was their enemy, to send one of his sons to be her husband and to be the king of Egypt. Twice did Queen Ankhsenamun write the King, and with full pride the king sent a son to marry the desperate Queen. However, the Hittite prince was not able to reach the Queen, for he was mobbed at the border and murdered… specific orders by the Vizier. General Hamenhareb having witnessed everything that the evil Ayê did, went into hiding with the goal of raising an army enough to seize the throne and overthrow Ayê, who now proclaimed himself Pharaoh by forcibly marrying the widowed Queen Ankhsenamun. After the marriage, Queen Ankhsenamun was never seen in public anymore, for it was said that she had taken her life to be with her beloved husband, Tutankhamun.
Two years had passed and General Hamenhareb had gathered enough people to raise an army enough to defeat Ayê…he succeeded and took over the throne. The then aging Ayê was conquered by General Hamenhareb and was given the heaviest punishment… of being mummified …alive…. ic

Story Setting: 1935, London, Cairo.
Characters: Rick, Evie, Jonathan, Maya, Imhotep, Ardeth Bay

Storyline:

Five years after the horrifying awakening of the Scorpion King, Rick and Evie are now peacefully living in London with their son Alex. Evie now works as the head curator of the British Museum, overseeing an archaeological excavation at Cairo. Jonathan who with the huge diamond has devoted himself into finding more treasures, underneath the archaeological “idea”, funds the excavation. Jonathan now lives in Egypt with a beautiful Egyptian wife, he had fell in love with during his explorations. Her name is Tahillah, and for three years they had lived together happily and produced two equally charming daughters.

Now in London, Evie discovers something in her readings about the place where Jonathan is doing his digging, something about a mummy’s curse that was set on that area. While debating with Rick into going to Egypt, they received a telegram with the most shocking news… Jonathan’s two daughters had died. The O’Connell’s didn’t waste anytime and boarded a plane to Egypt. Jonathan is devastated and if not for Tahillah, he could have gone mad. Evie as a loving sister carefully oversees everything for Jonathan… the excavation, the burial, and his home. 2 days after the girls’ funeral, Jonathan came rushing again into their arms… this time, with the news of Tahillah’s death.
Numb without words, Rick foolishly tried to cheer up Jonathan, while Evie goes to investigate, accompanied by Ardeth. There in Jonathan’s house, hidden in Tahillah’s belongings are the answers to their questions. Evie read what she found out about the place, that the excavation site used to be the old temple of the god Aton. Aton was the god worshipped by the heretic pharaoh Amenhotep IV, who changed his name into Akhenaton, just to please the god Aton. In the old times, the people prosecuted the King’s decision in changing beliefs by abandoning the god Amun. The priests of Amun then made a curse, that whoever set foot on the false god’s temple shall witness his family destroyed. Thus, King Amenhotep’s royal family was totally wiped out, without a single clue as to why and how… The symbol that represents the god Aton was found among Tahillah’s things, with sacred book, about communicating with the dead and with their help, she can do whatever she wants. No doubt that Tahillah loves Jonathan, for in the book, Jonathan’s name was inscribed inside along with a protection spell. Then they found out, Tahillah has a sister named Maya.
At the same time, at the excavation site… something very weird is happening. The manifestations of a mummy coming back to life are happening again. This time, he awakens to carry out the curse, and a revenge of his own…
One by one, the workers fell in the hands of Imhotep, thus, creating a rubble and chaos in the whole of Egypt, again.
Ardeth Bay, terribly alarmed about what’s happening to his people, asked Rick to help him find solution. Now, as Ardeth went to protect a town with his comrades and Rick…the mummy again came face to face with Rick and was not defeated. Ardeth and Rick went running back to the city for their lives.
Maya, who cannot hold her peace anymore, revealed the truth about their family. They are the descendants of Anak-su-Namun, the King’s wife and the High Priest Imhotep’s (Mummy) lover. There was a curse that the spirit of the high priest will not rest until he takes with him to the underworld, every female in Anak-su-Namun’s family. That’s why Jonathan’s daughters and Tahillah died. The mummy is now after Maya, preparing to end his misery, by taking the last of Anak-su-Namun’s line.
Jonathan, who had heard the story, swore to avenge his family, no matter what the cost.
However, Imhotep became more powerful than he ever was, because this time, he is being kept alive by the god Aton. Now having realized this, Evie has to find out what can defeat him. She went through al her readings once more, this time taking each detail importantly. Then she discovers…the mummy’s curse will be over if the mummy’s revenge is over, too. As long as the mummy didn’t get what he came for, the curse of priests of Amun will continue. They have to sacrifice Maya. They need to sacrifice Maya. Maya having learned this is ready to do what is right but Jonathan stubbornly stopped her. That this is his fight…L
Jonathan then secretly sought the Mummy and prepared to have a fight with him. Evie, learning this a little while later came rushing with the gang to the excavation site. Jonathan wanted to fight, but the mummy refuses to fight him, instead offered to make him his priest and be with his family if he’ll give over Maya. Jonathan then clearly confused agreed because the thought of being with his family again delighted him. He then took the girl forcibly as they descend upon the hill and ran away with her on a cloud of sand. When they reached the mummy’s lair, Jonathan offered the girl then quickly noticed that it was not Maya whom he took, but Evie, his sister…
Rick now, furious due to Evie’s kidnapping wasted no time in saving her. He went armed with Ardeth and his men. They reached the site just as the mummy is about to take Evie’s heart out…but then Jonathan jump out from nowhere and pushing Evie aside, sacrificed himself. Evie surprised by Jonathan’s act went in rage and started to take the mummy’s attention by crashing all the statuettes around her, the porcelains, the figurines, and the hieroglyphs…by so doing, Evie unknowingly releases a spirit more powerful than the Mummy…the Spirit of the goddess Isis… Isis took on command Maya’s body while Rick is busy trying to kill the mummy, to the extent of having his arm broken and his stomach burnt. Evie still in rage went about in her business… this makes Rick load…saving Evie from harm, and keeping them both alive. Then suddenly, a pillar of sand stood before them… it parted and in the middle was Maya, dressed in the most beautiful robe, with a glistening gold necklace and a scepter, she look more of Anak-su Namun than Isis… she beckoned the Mummy to come close, told him to stop, for she (Anak-su Namun) did not betray him. She loved him so, but time forbid their love to grow…whose fault was it? Was it the fault of her descendants to be born? Why will they pay for her mistake? Why should he do this to her? The mummy dumbfounded by the beauty before him stood with tears silently running on his cheeks…He loved Anak-su Namun so much he was prepared to defy the odds of hell for her… But she left him, with no remorse… now she must pay…the mummy then let out a huge scary earth shattering groan…He doesn’t want to hurt her beloved, he doesn’t want to… but something powerful is pushing him to do so…he attacked Rick once again and threw him on the air, he did the same to Evie, and the unconscious Ardeth. The Isis stretched out her hand and said…
”Come, let us be in peace together…relive our love once more…and be glad for all eternity.”
The mummy then took Maya in his arms and kissed her passionately, then he thrust his sacred knife deep into Maya’s possessed body…as the life escapes out of Maya, so is the spirit trapped inside her, simultaneous with the slowly turning of the mummy’s body to sand…as the process is completed… both spirits of Anak-su Namun and Imhotep rose together to the unknown world.
Evie and Rick lay there watching… holding each other, assuring of safety, that everything is over. However, Jonathan’s lifeless body is still there, so is Maya’s. Two precious lives sacrificed for the sake of the Mummy’s love.
